Music

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs,

singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”

Colossians 3:16

“Music is the support for the words of God which communicate God’s presence and work among us.”

- (Robert J. Young)

Music at Carpinteria Community Church

Chancel Choir

The adult choir sings at each worship service, presenting an anthem and leading the congregational hymns and responses. At times, the choir presents special musical programs. Anyone who loves to sing is invited to join. Rehearsals are on Thursdays from 7:00 to 9:00 pm in the choir room.

Bell Choir

A long tradition at CCC, the hand bell choir participates at least once a month and during festive services throughout the year. Several times a year unique programs are presented. The bell choir has the use of 5 octaves of bells and 3 octaves of chimes. Several members also attend workshops, bell festivals and are members of a marching hand bell choir. Rehearsals are on Thursdays from 6:00 to 7:00 pm in the church sanctuary. New ringers are always available and welcomed.

Organ and Piano

Due to generous gifts from members past and present, our worship is enhanced by the incredible sounds of a three-manual organ with 75 ranks and a beautiful Steinway piano. We are blessed weekly by the musical talents of organist/pianist Ron Fishbaugh, often in duet with pianist Jane Bianchin, who also fills in to lead us in music when Ron is away.

Children's Choir

Our children's choir is composed of children ages five and older who love to sing and help lead worship.  Our rehearsal schedule varies.  Please contact the church office or email Susan Solano or Katie Saxon for details.
